Job description
The Digital Platform Product Manager will support the delivery of improvements across the World Scouting’s event platforms, with an immediate focus on the JOTA-JOTI platform. Working closely with internal teams, volunteers and developers, the role will gather requirements, define scope, and coordinate delivery across key platforms and digital transformation efforts. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to work directly within platforms to test, troubleshoot, and make minor updates where possible. The role will sit as a member of the digital and IT team, and collaborate with the world events team in a matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support internal user requirement sessions for the JOTA-JOTI platform, identifying key improvements and translating needs into clear scopes and specifications for development.
Supports coordination with external developers, JOTA-JOTI event co-leads, and internal Digital and IT team members on implementation and the management of delivery timelines, testing, and issue tracking.
Conduct platform testing and quality assurance to ensure improvements are delivered on time and are fit for use ahead of the JOTA-JOTI event cycle.
Work across Digital and Events teams, alongside volunteers, to ensure platform readiness, including hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and minor updates ahead of the event.
Contribute to discovery work including supporting early planning for future platform development initiatives for key digital transformation efforts.
Coordinate with internal IT teams on infrastructure and integration.
Support documentation of system architecture, integrations, and data flows where required.
Job requirements
Experience and Qualification
Bachelor’s degree related to Digital Product Management, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience recommended.
Relevant professional certifications in technical product management, agile delivery, or project management are considered an advantage for this role.
Equivalent practical experience in user experience and systems architecture design will also be considered.
3–6 years of experience in digital product management, platform delivery, or technical project management.
Experience coordinating digital platform development with technical teams.
Fluency in English plus literacy in any of the other World Scouting languages (Spanish, Arabic, French).
Comfortable working directly within digital platforms (e.g. CMS, event systems, or similar tools).

Terms and Conditions
The World Scout Bureau offers a range of tangible and intangible working benefits. This is a full-time position with a three-year contract under local law.
A salary paid monthly will be appropriate to the seniority of the role.
The position is open in based in one of the World Scout Bureau’s Support Centres (Kuala Lumpur o Manila) or remotely from local countries in the Asia Pacific Region. (Local hiring)
Contractual hours of work are a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, but additional hours may be required for the effective performance of the role for which there will be no additional remuneration. The successful candidate must be willing to work in the evenings and on weekends, when necessary.
Annual leave and public holidays entitlement as per the local law where the position is located and the WSB Leave Policy.
