Job description

To support the implementation of the Humanitarian Action in Scouting project in Colombia, building the capacity of National Scout Organizations (NSOs) and young people to lead community resilience and emergency preparedness efforts.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Coordinate the overall implementation of the project and ensure KPIs and reporting requirements are met.

  • Provide tailored technical support and capacity building to NSOs.

  • Organize workshops, meetings, and coordinate a volunteer team.

  • Support sustainability efforts including strategy development and fundraising.

  • Deliverables include monthly and final reports, educational materials, stories of impact, and a sustainability proposal.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in peace education, sustainable development, humanitarian action, disaster preparedness, or related fields.

  • At least 1 year of experience in community projects with vulnerable populations.

  • Experience working with volunteers, partnerships, and in decentralized or international teams.

  • Skilled in training, fundraising, and project management.

Competencies:

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

  • Self-motivated and open to feedback.

  • Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends.

Summary of Employment

Terms and Conditions:

This is a project-based appointment under a fixed-term contract of one (1) year:

  • The position is based in Colombia and report to the Interamericana Support Centre by remote work

  • 30 hours per week, including occasional evenings/weekends

  • The successful candidate is expected to start on 15th August 2025
